Brooke Liggett is the owner of Liggett Forensic Accounting & Economics and specializes in the measurement of economic losses and damages. She started her certified public accountant career as an auditor at Deloitte. The analytical skills cultivated as an auditor have been invaluable in the forensic work she now performs. Brooke gained a broad base of experience prior to focusing on forensic accounting and economics. Her experience includes auditor, controller in private industry and accounting and tax consultant. Brooke jumped at the opportunity to work in forensic accounting and economics. She dove right in, learning everything she could and obtaining two designations. Growing up, Brooke was fascinated with the depth of knowledge in her father’s law library. She shares his passion for knowledge and regularly spends time reading articles, journals and case decisions regarding economic damages. Brooke understands in order to determine damages, she must first understand the litigant’s situation. She studies the details to determine which types of damages apply and the best way to accurately calculate. Brooke also enjoys teaching and has taught continuing education courses in topics including economic damages and business valuations. One of her favorite aspects of her work is providing testimony – engaging the trier of fact with elementary, clear and credible testimony.
In her free time, she enjoys running and spending time with her daughters and husband.
